CNSC attends MOWCA workshop on fund recovery mechanisms

The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) is participating in a Regional Maritime Fund workshop organised by the Maritime Organisation of West and Central Africa (MOWCA) from 19 to 21 November 2024 in Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo.

Holding under the patronage of Congo's Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation and Shipping, Mr. Honore Sayi, the workshop seeks to find effective mechanisms to recover dues meant to finance projects and programs run by MOWCA.

CNSC commits to the training of seafarers

The navigation simulator at the Douala Maritime Museum, a recent acquisition of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), will henceforth be used for the practical training of future seafarers in the city of Douala.

This was the subject of a collaboration agreement signed on 19 November 2024 between CNSC's General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda and Mr. Markous Mono Boum, Director General of GEPMARE (Groupe Ecoles Professionnelles Maritimes de l'Estuaire).

CNSC urges phytosanitary treatment companies to call off strike at PAD

The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, presided over a consultation meeting following the strike action called on 14 October 2024 by the Syndicat National des Sociétés de Traitement, d'Hygiène, d'Assainissement et des Revendeurs du Matériel Phytosanitaire (SYNTHAR-PHYTO) in protest against the 700 CFA francs fee per tonne or cubic metre recently introduced by the Port Authority of Douala.
