CNSC commits to the training of seafarers
The navigation simulator at the Douala Maritime Museum, a recent acquisition of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), will henceforth be used for the practical training of future seafarers in the city of Douala.
This was the subject of a collaboration agreement signed on 19 November 2024 between CNSC's General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda and Mr. Markous Mono Boum, Director General of GEPMARE (Groupe Ecoles Professionnelles Maritimes de l'Estuaire).
The collaboration agreement was signed in the conference room of the Douala Maritime Museum and attended by senior officials from both institutions. It will also enable GEPMARE students to experience both the realities of the profession and navigation at sea.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda noted that this partnership will help boost the competitiveness of Cameroonian professionals on an international level.
The ceremony ended with a presentation of the main subject of the agreement, the Douala Maritime Museum's navigation simulator.
