Port of Kribi: Arrival of first gantry crane shipment heralds a new era of competitiveness and modernity
On 12 September 2024, the ZHEN HUA vessel from Shanghai, China, docked at the Port of Kribi with a large shipment of five gantry cranes for the new quay under phase 2 of the port's development master plan.
This is a historic moment for the Port of Kribi, which will now have five quayside gantry cranes, each capable of handling up to 65 tonnes, as well as two yard gantry cranes capable of handling 41 tonnes.
These handling machines will make ship loading and unloading operations at the Port of Kribi more fluid, thereby boosting foreign trade.
