CWEIC and CII partners prospecting in Cameroon

The enhancement of cooperation ties between Cameroon and India was given new impetus through a trade and investment mission of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in Cameroon from 20 to 24 September 2024 within the framework of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) business network.

Led by the High Commissioner of the Republic of India, H.E. Vijay KHANDUJA, and the Chairman of the Cameroon-Gabon-Togo CWEIC Hub, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, the Indian delegation was received by the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, who provided guidance on the ministries to be approached in connection with the structuring projects of Cameroon's National Development Strategy (NDS 2030).

A series of preliminary meetings ensued with various ministries, notably public works, energy and water resources, trade, transport and logistics, finance and higher education, focusing on information sharing and the identification of bankable projects.
