AfCFTA
This landmark event took place on Friday 5 July 2024 at the Container Terminal of the Port of Douala-Bonabéri and was presided over by Trade Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana.
The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) and Chairman of the Ad hoc sub-committee charged with implementing the AfCFTA guided trade initiative in Cameroon, and Mr. Cyrus Ngo'o, General Manager of the Port Authority of Douala.
Guests and stakeholders of Cameroon's foreign trade sector witnessed the departure of the shipment consisting of 4 containers of 99.49 tonnes of aluminium ingots produced by ALUCAM and destined for its Algerian partner, ALFILECT.
This shipment is one outcome of the CNSC's awareness-raising, training and support activities for Cameroonian SMEs
