Port of Kribi: Arrival of first gantry crane shipment heralds a new era of competitiveness and modernity

On 12 September 2024, the ZHEN HUA vessel from Shanghai, China, docked at the Port of Kribi with a large shipment of five gantry cranes for the new quay under phase 2 of the port's development master plan.

This is a historic moment for the Port of Kribi, which will now have five quayside gantry cranes, each capable of handling up to 65 tonnes, as well as two yard gantry cranes capable of handling 41 tonnes.

Cameroon chairs International Cocoa Council for the 2024/2025 cocoa season

In a release signed by the Minister of Trade and published on 20 September 2024, the Group of Cocoa Producing Countries of the International Cocoa Organisation (ICCO) unanimously decided that Cameroon will head the International Cocoa Council for the 2024/2025 cocoa season.
