A Cameroon-United Kingdom trade and economic mission met in Yaounde from 30 to 31 January 2023 within the framework of strengthening economic cooperation between both countries.

AFRICAN CONTINENTAL FREE TRADE AREA: Cameroon selected for experimental phase

The Republic of Cameroon, alongside six other countries have been selected to lead the trial phase of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) which seeks to ensure the unrestricted movement of goods and services in the continent. EURO FALLS TO PARITY AGAINST THE DOLLAR: IMPACT ON CAMEROON'S FOREIGN TRADE OPERATIONS

The depreciation of the Euro against the US dollar has had several consequences on Cameroon's foreign trade operations conducted using the CFA franc. The fact that the CFA franc is pegged to the value of the euro has brought down the prices of some Cameroonian products denominated in CFA francs and intended for export.
